What I’m Reading: November 2016

Hello My Lovelies!

Books. I like books. I hope you like books. Books are good. I’ve been reading these books recently.

 1. If I Stay

81atbry7dxl

Read.

I just finished reading this the other day, and it was very good! Not the best book I’ve ever read, but I did enjoy it a lot!

2. Where She Went

whereshewent_final1

Reading.

I am currently reading this, it’s the sequel to If I Stay, and I’m only on the second chapter, but I like it so far!

3. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

d19e3d4f87387216249ef0e546c9f1fb

Read.

I read this at the beginning of the month because, I’ve been re-reading the series over like the past two months inbetween other books, because they are so amazing! Also I know it says its book 1, but personally I prefer reading them in chronological order and not published order!

4. Anne of Windy Poplars

693a0e5840e7872a5dca4c7a1dd7c1df

Reading.

I must say, I’ve grown rather attached to Anne over the past few months! I can’t believe I’m already on book #4!

5. Keeper of The Lost Cities

keeperofthelostcities

To Be Read (Hopefully).

I’ve heard a lot of very good things about this series, and I intend on reading it soon!

It’s almost the end of the month (like tomorrow), and I’m supposed to post these in like the middle of the month, and I didn’t do one at all in October, but um.. oh whale.

Have A Nice Day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello My Lovelies!

I’m sure you already know this, but here in America, ITS THANKSGIVING!

And to celebrate I’m going to try to come up with something I am thankful for that starts with each letter of the alphabet. And to make things harder, I can’t do people. Like for A, I can’t do Ashley (my sister) I have to think a little harder than that! And I can put more than one for a letter if I can’t decide on just one thing

A- America!

Sometimes I worry about America, but overall its pretty nice, we got freedom and stuff

B- Books!

I love reading so much!!

C- Church!

I’m so thankful for my church, everyone there and just the freedom to be able to love and worship God!

D- Doctors!

For keeping my healthy

E- Education!

I don’t really like school but I’m glad I get to be educated

F- Family, Friends (including internet friends 😉 ), and Food!

I don’t think this one needs explanation

G- God!

For being awesome and always there for me when I need him

H- House!

I like my house. Its nice.

I- Internet!

For connecting me with all of you lovely people

J- Jesus!

He’s definitely an exception to the no people rule

K- Kittens!

I don’t have a cat but hopefully some day!

L- Life!

Life’s a good thing. You should celebrate it.

M- Music!

Music is a big part in my life I don’t know where I’d be with out it!

N- Night!

I’m not always thankful for when night comes, but night can mean sleep and sleep can be good

O- Oceans!

I love cruises, and I’m actually going on one in less than a month, and without oceans how could I go on cruises?

P- Pianos!

I played piano from when I was like 5 to like 8 and I just started picking it up again.. I can play like 2 and a half Twenty-One Pilots songs now! I really like playing piano as away of getting out my anger and my mind off the world. It helps.

Q- Quiet!

I mean some times quiet can be violent but.. ( hehe I’ll sneak in a TOP reference anywhere I can |-/… okay nvm.. I’ll stop now..)

R- Reading!

Books are my favorite

S- Sisters!

Y’all are pretty swell

T- Twenty-One Pilots!

Y’all are legit the best. Also this way I can be thankful for both Tyler and Josh, whilst not directly breaking the no people rule. My smol beans mean the world to me and I am VERY thankful for them

U- Ukuleles!

I don’t have one, but I really like Ukuleles (and the people who play them *cough cough* Tyler Joseph and Grace Vanderwaal)

V- Vacation!

Man, do I love vacations!

W- Writing!

Even if its just writing in a journal I love writing, I really love using it as a way to express myself

X- X-rays!

I’m glad for x-rays helping the people that need them, and that I’ve never had the need for one

Y- Youth Group!

I have an amazing youth program at my church that I am so incredibly thankful for!

Z- Ziplock Bags!

For always being there for me to hold stuff. And for being an at least decent thing to be thankful for that starts with “Z”.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

What are you thankful for this year?

What I’m Listening To: November 2016

Hello My Lovelies!

Last month I posted the top few songs I’d been listening to that month, and since then I’ve been listening to some very different songs so, I thought I’d do one this month!

1. Fake You Out

It’s Twenty one pilots, of course I’m listening to it. And sometimes you just got to let TyJo scream into your soul.

2. Welcome to The Black Parade

I’ve never been a huge My Chemical Romance person, they were always slightly too emo for me, but I’ve been starting to listening to them more (Notice how cancer was on my last what I’ve been listening to..) And I just constantly have Welcome to The Black Parade stuck in my head so I thought I’d put in here.

3. The Good Just Gets Better

I love this so much!! Grace is so talented!! Also the only thing I could think of when listening to this was Truce by Twenty one pilots… not completely sure why

4. I Want To Know

This one is  REALLY old, like Tyler wrote it in his parents basement when he was 17, but I LOVE it!! Also I don’t think I could possibly make one of these and not have at least two twenty one pilots songs in it!

5. This Is Gospel

I’m not a huge Panic! At the Disco fan, but I’ll listen to some of their songs every once in a while.

What have you been listening to recently?

The Sunshine Blogger Award

Hello My Lovelies!

flowers-wallpaper-24

Yesterday I was nominated by Kiki for the Sunshine Blogger Award! Thanks Kiki! Here are the rules:

1. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator.
2. Nominate 11 blogs.
3. Ask them 11 questions

MY ANSWERS:

1. What are you’re 3 favorite Girl names?

Myla, Selah, & Willow

2.What are you allergic to?

Juniper bushes, a certain brand of sun block, and I am know to break into hives when getting tomato sauce on my skin..

3.What kind of shoes do you like to wear?

Converse!

4.What is your eye color?

Hazel.

5.What is your style? (like with clothing and stuff).

A band/fandom t-shirt, jeans and converse. Everyday, pretty much.

6.Who is your best blogging buddy?( I stole that from Abby who stole it from Lu).

I’m friendly with like all bloggers in existence, but I’m not particularly close friends with any of them, although I might be one day!

7.What is your favorite subject?

English/Language Arts, Theatre, and Band

8.What do you want Goty 2017 to look like? If you aren’t a AG lover then What is your favorite animal?

I want GOTY 2017 to be very different from anything we’ve ever seen before. No more animal lover, no more singer/dancer, no mover basic sports. Something unusual like an aspiring inventor, or like a lacrosse player or a weird sport like that, or maybe a girl with a disability? Honestly I don’t care what she physically looks like, I just hope she has a decent story.

9.What is your favorite sport.

I like to watch gymnastics and I like playing Volleyball and Field Hockey. I also like to roller skate and ice skate, although I don’t get to often. I also like swimming!

10.Describe yourself in a paragraph.

I’m a tween girl who’s definitely not considered normal. I am what you could call a fangirl. I’m also very nerdy. I obsess over books, youtube, bands and broadway musicals. I’m slightly girly, slightly tom-boyish, and not too athletic. I’m a christian in a public school, which is definitely a challenge. I have anxiety issues. I play the Euphonium in my school band. I can be VERY loud and talkative. (Definitely an extrovert) Overall; I’m slightly insane, but I’m fine with that!

And That’s Who I Am Part 4

Hello Internet!

I always like doing these posts, so why not do another one.

Sup Grandma! (I know you read these!!)

I barely know who I am, so how could anyone else? Also most people like at school have no idea I exist. But I’m fine with that! 🙂

I love the names Myla, and Oliver. I don’t know why, I just do.

I think this one is the most me. I’m always having conversations with people like that I actually know, but in my head. And the conversations never actually happen.

Are you like me with any of these things?

Naming Inanimate Objects

Hello My Lovelies!

There is this thing in my band class where people name their instruments. Like actual human names. This was started by the one and only oboe player in my class who realized that we kind of treated our instruments like people, for example if we were walking across the room and our instrument hit a chair, we would just like accidentally say like “Sorry!” or “Are you okay?” and sometimes even “Ouch!”. (I know, we are insane.) Also our band  teacher refers to our instruments as our children.. Like he’ll say  “People who are taking their children home get dismissed first!” And then the oboe player I mentioned earlier named his oboe Brittany. Then it kind of caught on with the rest of the class. I had never done it, because I thought it was kind of stupid. But then my friend Hannah was like, “What is your Euphonium’s name? My flute is named Channelle!”

Before you ask, I play the Euphonium, and it is basically a small Tuba. Google it.

So me and Hannah talked for a while and we decided on a name.

Oliver.

My favorite Harry Potter character is Oliver Wood, so why not! And its kind of ironic because his last name is wood, and my euphonium is metal.. yeah okay.. we’re stupid, I know.

Yeah this was a really random..

Okay, Bye!

Sharing The Love

Hello My Lovelies!

I’m participating in Louise‘s Share The Love challenge! Basically you are given a topic and a bible verse and you have to make a post about you doing something related to that topic and incorporate the bible verse into it. This weeks topic is A Poem. If you know me at all, you know I suck at poems. But I wasn’t going to not participate just because I can’t write a decent poem if my life depended on it. I’d rather participate with a bad entry than not participate at all.

So I decided to write a (really awful) poem and give it to my mom, because she is aware of my slight insanity and I was sure she’d love my poem no matter how bad it was.

So, this is what I ended up making:

img_0666

I know. It sucks. But I added some floral on the corners to distract from my awful handwriting! Maybe that counts for something?

But anyways, when I finished this my mom was already in bed (she goes to bed way before me), so I just put it on top of her alarm clock (I told her about this Share The Love challenge before so she knew she’d be getting a poem eventually), so she’d see it in the morning. So I didn’t get to see her reaction or anything but she told me she liked it! 🙂

Thanks for hosting this, Louise!

~Julia ❤
