Camp Kulaqua// Where I’ve Been

I’m not sure if any of you noticed probably not, but I have been gone for this whole week! wow so long Why, you might ask? Well, I was off having perhaps the best week of my life!

This past week I attended Camp Kulaqua with my church youth program. From July 17th to 21st I went with 5 other girls, about 8 boys and some leaders from my church to Camp Kulaqua in High Springs, Florida. (about a 3 hours drive)

I’ve been wanting to attend this camp since I was about 8 years old, so this was very exciting!! Continue reading “Camp Kulaqua// Where I’ve Been”

hi. i’m ruby.

my human, julia, named me after a twenty one pilots song but i don’t think she actually ever played the song for me. she should be shamed.

i live in a tank in julia’s living room. it is nice.

i live with this bridge and plant. i appreciate their presence very much.

see. i love my bridge.

i swim very fast. i like to swim fast away to give my human a difficult time taking pictures of me. such fun.

i hope you guys enjoyed meeting ruby. would you like to see more of her in the future?

p.s. i’m really sorry that this post was trash i made the actual post in like 10 minutes, even the the picture taking took like half an hour because ruby wouldn’t cooperate.

p.p.s i might not post for a bit because i’m going to camp kulaqua with my church next week and there’s the whole no-internet situation going on there. but yeah i’m really excited cuz i’ve been wanting to go to this camp for about 6 years now AND I’M FINALLY GOING YAYYY

Nico di Angelo// + why he’s one of my favorite characters ever

Nico di Angelo.png

**Before I get started I would like to say, that this is not going to be a post about lgbt diversity in books. That’s a post for another time. So if that’s what you’re here looking for, bye-bye

**this most definitely contains spoilers to at least the first like 2 percy jackson series. Like A LOT of spoilers

**Actually if you haven’t read Trials of Apollo you should be fine, I don’t think there’s spoilers for that in here

I love Nico di Angelo. A lot. He’s one of my favorite characters ever written. And I need to talk about that so I’m going to do that here. This post is probably going to be very very long and just full of fangirling and ranting. By the way, I’ve only read PJO, HoO, and ToA. Not the Kane Chronicles or Magnus Chase. So there will be spoilers on literally everything besides those two.

p.s. also i heard somewhere that you like your favorite character because they remind you of yourself. if thats the case, than shoot, maybe i really am emo.. XD

p.p.s none of the artwork or gifs in this post are my own. Continue reading “Nico di Angelo// + why he’s one of my favorite characters ever”

p.p.s. if you haven’t heard the songs drown or just like yesterday by tyler joseph go listen to them right now. please. they were a bit of an inspiration for this post.

i didn’t end up meeting my goal of ten books, because i ended up being way busier than i thought i would be, but these are the books that i did get to.

1) The House Of Hades by Rick Riordan.

6/16- i celebrated yet another friends birthday by going to universal studios with her!

6/19-23- i worked at my churches vbs

6/28-30- i went on a fun little vacation with  my family, where we went to busch gardens in tampa, and went to the clearwater marine aquarium and met winter and hope! (the dolphins from the movie dolphin tale) it was quite fun!

Books I Read (3).png

at the end of may, i made goals for the month of june. i accomplished like 2/5 of those goals. i’m gonna make more goals for july in hopes that maybe i can be a bit more productive this next month. probably not going to happen

1) read atleast 7 books.

-i better be able to do this.

2) make weekly posts on each blog and they better be quality posts too

– i run two blogs and i suck at keeping up with them. whoops

3) have no more allergic reactions

-i have no control over this one, but in june i got like two separate allergic reactions and we don’t know what its from so i just hope i get no more.

4) actually practice all of my instruments frequently.

– i play four different instruments. yeah. its a lot. i suck at keeping up with all of them.

5) have an amazing time at camp!

-in to weeks im going to a camp i’ve been excited to go to for about 5 years now and I CAN’T WAITTTTTTTT!!! seriously im so freaking excited

were you productive this month? unlike me..

what’d you do? read? listen to? eat???

peace out

p.s. this month i found out i had a love for dried mango. it was a great discovery
