God Has a Plan for Your Life

GOD'S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE (1)

I still have so, so much to learn when it comes to this but hopefully the bit I have learned can help you in some way.

God is honestly the coolest freaking person ever! I know that sounds like some weird cliche Christian kids tv show, but I really mean it. Hopefully by the end of this post you’ll see what I mean.

I am in no way a professional, I’m just a teen who goes to church and is trying to figure out how God works in her life. I can’t confirm that everything I say will be 100% accurate, so please correct me if you think something I say is wrong for whatever reason.

Onward!

Looking Back

I feel like a lot of times I’ll be faced with the question, “How is God working in your life right now?” But more often than not, my answer would probably be “I don’t know!!!”

I’ve found that we often can’t see what God has done in our life until later, looking back. Just to clarify, by God working in your life I mean:

  • the people and relationships God has put in your path to bring you closer to him and influence the people around you
  • talents/abilities/opportunities that the Lord has given you to use to bring glory to His name
  • the ways you can see that God has protected or provided for you in times of need
  • you know those times when everything just seems to work itself out at the last second? Yeah that was God’s plan.

In the moment it can often feel as if God has abandoned you, but it is all part of his great and perfect plan for your life! God can turn any bad situation into an amazing work for his glory!

For example, as many of you know a friend of mine passed away last year. At the time I was furious with God for letting this happen. But looking back, because of his passing I was able to pray with other friends, relationships were strengthened, and I learned a lot about myself in ways I never could have imagined. Overall, yes it absolutely sucks and I probably won’t ever know why God took him from us so early until I get to heaven and get to ask God. However, I am now way closer than I ever would have been with God and some of the other people in my life. I am in no way saying that it was a good thing that he died, because it is truly awful, but I can now see how God had this in his plan all along and worked it out for better.

Don’t forget, being a Christian does not mean you suddenly have a pain-free, perfect life! We are still sinful humans and because we are alive on Earth we will still experience suffering! God doesn’t stop bad things from happening to us and the people we love, but instead gives us an escape so that we can come out stronger on the other end!

Going Forward

Thinking about the future can honestly be so, so terrifying. The thing is, God already has it all figured out for you.

While the Bible sadly doesn’t say step by step what God’s plans for you are, it does let us know that he has plans, and they are better than anything we could possibly imagine. Also reading the Bible can help us understand God and his ways better and help us to be more like him!

Know, that in the moment it may seem tough but God loves you more than anyone! He sent his only child to die so that we can spend eternity with him! God’s plan for your life is to draw you closer to him so that y’all can build a stronger relationship and you can experience all of the good gifts that God’s greatness has in store!

It isn’t bad to have your own plans in mindbut don’t worry if things seem to go off of your track! It is God’s will for your life and in the end we can all spend our forever together with God in heaven. We should strive to live our lives how God wants us to, because God knows whats best for usPray that God will show you his plans for you!

I don’t know about you, but I am honestly so excited to see what else God has in mind for me!

I’m honestly so sorry that I haven’t been posting a lot lately! I’ve just been super unmotivated.

I finally starting reading a lot more again lately, though! I’m currently reading the Magnus Chase series and the Mysterious Benedict Society series! They’re both so good!

I bought a bunch of books recently, would any of you like to see a book haul? And I bought most of them with giftcards that were either Christmas or early birthday (my birthday is on Monday the 26th) presents, so it didn’t technically cost me anything!

Would you want to see a book haul? If you have any questions about anything in this post feel free to ask me in the comments!
